Heroes

September 24, 2008

I must now go into fangirl moment:
“OMFG!!!!!!!  THAT WAS EFFING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Alright, so I had a two hour visual orgasm last night.

If Heroes was a person, I would totally high-five it for the absolutely amazing two hour premiere.

I won’t say much except for this:

  • Claire and “I always loved you.”!!!
  • Sylar and Claire’s power!
  • Nathan getting religious!
  • Nikki and Gracie!?!?
  • Where’s Mica?
  • Mohinder’s OOCness (out of character-ness)….how can he be so smart and so dumb at the same time?
  • Angela’s manipulation and/or she has another babydaddy?????
  • FutureAndo = :(
  • FuturePeter = :)
  • Mama Petrelli’s dream = badass
  • FuturePeter’s and Claire’s chemistry was extra Pairelicious.
  • I’m going to have to say more about the chemistry between the characters Peter and Claire.

And yes, I know they are related, but come on! You’d have to be a complete idiot to not see the crazy sparks between them in “Homecoming” (before we found out they are uncle and niece). Season one was filled with so many “special moments” between them and season three has already had a ton of that just in the premiere.

The first scene was an absolute, but odd Paire moment. Claire was about to shoot Peter and right before she pulls the trigger she tells him, “I always loved you.”

Then there was the scene with Angela and FuturePeter. In it she reminds Peter that the person he cares about the most is Claire.

Seriously, if Peter does not have a girlfriend four years in the future, you have to wonder why. The episode never revealed if he did or did not, but it certainly didn’t seem like it. And yeah, he is probably being hunted down, but Peter is definitely the kind of person who would make room in life no matter what for a little bit of lovin’.

Kring may deny it all he wants, but Claire wants Peter and Peter MOST definitely wants Claire.

    ANTM: Trash or Progressive?

    September 4, 2008

Cycle 11 of America’s Next Top Model premiered tonight and of course, the women they pick for the show are “characters.”  They had their typical Cocky African-American Woman, a couple of Small Town Girls, the Lesbian, and then a Tranny?

First Diddy, and now Tyra has cast a transgendered woman, Isis, on her show.  I remember seeing Isis on MSNBC’s documentary “Born in the Wrong Body” a few months ago.  I was so excited to see her on here and the fact that she is actually in the final group!  For the most part, I’m happy how they depicted her on this first episode.  I just hope that is how she really is and will be throughout the show.  Everyone around her is constantly talking about her (except for a hand full) and how weird they think she is.  My only wish is that they won’t bring up her gender in all of the episodes unless it should become an issue among the girls (whom I hope they just kick-off the show).

Anyway, I think they are really doing something great with choosing her to be on the show.  Hopefully the outcome of this will be a positive one for the transgender community.

I know that ANTM will not give up the “character casting”, but I think this contestant choice has redeemed them a little.

Plus, she kicks total ass when she models!!!

    New Blog #238534534785983732

    September 3, 2008

Alright, so hopefully this blog will last a lot longer than my previous ones.  I love blogging, but once I get busy with school, it totally gets pushed to the side.  By the time I want to start doing it again, I try to go back to my old blog and I hate the layout, name, and everything, and just feel the need to start over.  So I’m doing it again and hopefully the last time for a long time.

My previous blogs were mostly on Livejournal, but as many of you know, people are starting to move away from that hell hole.  Though, I do keep my last journal for the communities I’m in on there.  I have also had one on Blurty, but only because a lot of my friends were using that at the time.  That lasted for a whole 4 or 5 entries within a 2-3 month period.

Anyway, there is my little rant about my horrible blogging habits and how I anticipate to adjust them.

I suppose it would be best to give a bit of information about myself:

    • I am a girl.
    • I attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville
    • Surprisingly, I love it here (a lot more liberal and cultured than one would think)
    • My major is graphic design
    • Art is my passion (such a cliched phrase, but it is true!)
    • I watch too much television
    • And I check my email complusively

So I’m going to go to bed now.  Eight AM classes all week kill me.  Ugh!
